Cersei Lannister ~ A Beautiful Wreck

(click on or under the pictures to enlarge)
Shawn Mullins_Beautiful Wreck (9th Ward Pickin' Parlor 2006)
I've lost count of the times I given up on you
But you make such a beautiful wreck, you do
There's a tavern on the corner called the Milky Way
And you look so at home there it makes me afraid

*Chorus*:
And at the dark end of this bar
What a beautiful wreck you are
When you go too far, beautiful wreck you are

Like all the plans that you had from seven years ago
Like all the promises you made I watched them come and go
You put your keys in the car but it wouldn't drive
With your hands on the wheel, lookin' barely alive

I'm still sitting here waiting on the passenger side
For you to make up your mind
For you to make up your mind

*Chorus*

What a beautiful, such a beautiful, a beautiful wreck you are
What a beautiful, such a beautiful, wreck

I've lost count of the times I given up on you
But you make such a beautiful wreck, you do
Yeah, you make such a beautiful wreck, you do

*Chorus*

What a beautiful, such a beautiful, beautiful wreck you are
What a beautiful, such a beautiful, beautiful wreck you are

On August 21, 1992, Lena's first movie 'Waterland' was released in UK theaters.

Plot:
Waterland follows the story of a mentally anguished high school history teacher (Tom Crick/Jeremy Irons) going through a complete reassessment of his life. His method for reassessing his life is to narrate it to his class and interweave in it three generations of his family's history. The movie portrays the teacher's narrative in the form of flashbacks to tell the story of a teenage boy and his mentally challenged older brother living on the fens of England with their widowed father. The entire movie is motivated by an opening scene in which the history teacher's barren wife (Mary Crick/Sinead Cusack) steals a child from a supermarket and believes it to be hers. The teacher explains to his class how he and his wife carried out a teenage romance which led to a disastrous abortion that mutilated the girl's womb and left her infertile. (Young Mary/Lena Headey & Young Tom/Grant Warnock) The teacher is tortured by the guilt of this act as well as the jealousy he demonstrated to his older brother when he suspected his girlfriend's child was that of his brother. The girlfriend explains that the child cannot be that of the mentally challenged brother because his penis was of such enormousness that it could not fit into her despite several attempts. The girlfriend's flirtation with the older brother sets off events that lead to the older brother's suicide by drowning. A side-theme throughout the narration is of the teacher's grandfather, who was a successful brewer and who fathered with his daughter the narrator's older brother, thus accounting for the older brother's genetic difficulties. The movie ends with the teacher's dismissal from his school and a possible renewal of his relationship with his wife.

The movie also starred Ethan Hawke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Pete Postlethwaite, and John Heard.

Lena Caption: TSCC - To The Lighthouse

Okay, so... spent the weekend having a Lena Headey movie/TV show marathon. Can you believe its been 4 years since Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles premiered? And the final episode of the series aired April 2009. They say, 'time heals all wounds'. But I STILL miss this show!

Changed the caption for the first panel of '300 - No One Insults The Queen'. Credit goes to Joe for using the comment section to contribute his idea. Thanks, Joe. I added your name to the picture.

Game Of Thrones: An Interview w/George R.R. Martin

Check out this video of an interview with George R.R. Martin, the author of the 'A Song of Fire and Ice' series that HBO's 'Game Of Thrones' is adapted from. The Lena/Cersei part starts at 12:17.

I will not go off about George saying Lena's last name wrong... BUT...
(picture is a re-post from Oct. 2011 Pete Smalls Is Dead post)

They're headed into season 3 and he can't say Headey? This from a guy who names his characters crazy made-up names, like Jaqen H'ghar & Xaro Xhoan Daxos. Is Headey really THAT hard??? Is it me??? Okay, sorry, I said I wouldn't go off, then I went a little off...
