Linda Hamilton talks about Lena

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but it's been really quiet in Lenaland... and not many news regarding Game of Thrones either. All we know is that by now a rough cut of the pilot has been viewed by HBO executives but we probably still have to wait till March to know for sure whether it will be picked up or not. Apart from that Lena has been mentioned by Linda Hamilton who originally played Sarah Connor in the first two Terminator movies in a recent interview she gave for Digital Spy:

She was very good, very good. I know how difficult it is to step into someone's shoes, or to fill someone's shoes. I would never want to be the standard. I guess it's great that I'm the standard, but each one of us has our own special gifts that we can bring to a part. She wasn't trying to be Linda Hamilton, she was trying to play Sarah Connor. Her version is just as valid as mine.

As you all probably remember the choice of Lena for the character of Sarah Connor in the tv series had been harshly criticized mostly by Terminator fans and it's great to see Linda Hamilton talking in positive terms about Lena's performance, which she had done before too actually. Lena did an amazing job portraying this character, probably one of her strongest performances. I hope by now no one doubts anymore that she was by far the best choice for this role!

New Year, new layout! Hope you like it!  As for Lena herself (:P) based on some  newer pics, I think it's pretty safe to say that the rumour about her pregnancy is true!! It's gonna be a fantastic year for Lena and her hubby, so once again congratulations!!

Imagine Me & You on Italian tv :)

I'm very pleased to announce this to the Italian Lenaholics, we've had a fair amount of Lena movies lately, I'm really glad and now it's finally the turn of Imagine Me & You!!! Same channel as The Cave, a bit later (hope you don't have to wake up too soon on the next day)... It's gonna be on Italia 1, thursday 10th at midnight (vampire time), after Grey's Anatomy. So perfect time to share a video with clips from the movie and Sarah Mc Lachlan's song I Love You.

Lena cocktail?!

Ok, there's not much to talk about these days, but I've found this article; apparently someone working on the set of TSCC spoke to Lena about the perfect cocktail and it turns out he made a cocktail in her honour, check it out:

"Anyway, she [Lena] was once describing her dream cocktail, one that some London Barman had attempted to make her. 'It would have Pear and Cucumber and lot's of vodka of course. And something else ...' Her charming English accent drifted off into contemplative silence. I, of course, was up for the challenge and tonight you can walk into the Allston Yacht Club (1320 Echo Park Ave LA 90026 213.481.0454) and get yourself a Lena's Holiday. It is our best selling drink."

And here's how to make it:

LENA'S HoLIDAY
Makes 1
Peel, seed and chop 1 hothouse cucumber. Put in a blender with a knob of peeled Ginger and 2 cans of Pear Nectar (like Kerns). Blend and strain. Makes enough for about a dozen drinks.
2 oz Vodka
1 oz St Germain (Elderfolower Liquer)
2 oz Pear/Cuke blend
Shake with Ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a cucumber slice.

So this Lena-inspired drink became their best selling cocktail, if you happen to be at that place you can try it out... :-P

Breaking news on Lena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just thinking about the lack of news about Lena these days, then I've read this on the Westeros.org website today... make sure you're sitting, cause this is huge news: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena's co-star in Game of Thrones, has been interviewed by a Danish tv news site and speaking about the shoot he just dropped this bomb (:-P):

Q: How was it like to work together with an international star like Lena Headey?
A: It was a really good experience. She’s really cute and smart - and she’s also a lot of fun. She was also pregnant during filming, but not so far along that you could see it clearly. But she had to have a stand-in in a nude scene with me

Lena is pregnant!!!! OMG!!!!! I just find it a little untactful maybe of the actor to just mention this thing as it were no big deal; since nothing came officially from Lena or anyone else, she probably wanted to keep the thing private a while longer... I don't know, but well since now it's out there, congratulations to Lena and Pete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!! What a gorgeous and badass mom this baby will have!!!! The Cave

Why a post on The Cave? For anyone who lives in Italy, since the movie in which Lena stars alongside friend Piper Perabo will air on the Italian tv channel Italia 1 on Saturday 14th at 22:55. This is a somewhat epic movie, only for the fact that Piper and Lena met on the set of this flick and became close friends, so it kind of paved the way for the wonderful Imagine Me & You... :-P But if you ask the girls they're not to thrilled to be reminded that they were in that movie, check out this interview tidbit: 

Q: So you two met on “The Cave…” 

PIPER: Why do you have to start there? You want to talk about “The Cave”?  We choose not to even acknowledge the fact that we were in “The Cave.”
LENA: We were injected.  And we woke up in a cave.
PIPER: No, it helped.  Don't you think it helped?
LENA: No.
PIPER: I mean, I wanted to do some good acting with Lena.
LENA: We actually wanted to speak to each other.
PIPER: Yeah, we were like, “do you want to run some dialogue?”  Before we go jumping into caves?
